Cajonero

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Cajonero is a cajón practice book. It is built to work entirely offline, and this policy explains plainly what that means for your data.

The short version

Cajonero does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no network connection of any kind. Everything the app stores lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

What stays on your device

These pieces of information are created by using the app and are stored locally, using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults and a local Core Data database). None of it ever leaves your device:

DataPurpose
Practice historyMinutes practised, the pattern used, and the tempo you reached, so the Práctica tab can show your log and weekly view.
Pattern progressThe highest clean tempo you've earned for each pattern, stored so the tempo dial remembers your level.
Favourite patterns and bookmarksWhich patterns and history chapters you've starred, so they're easy to find again.
App settingsYour theme, sound, haptics, left-handed and reminder preferences.
Cajón face photoOptional — a photo you choose is used only to skin the on-screen drum. See below.

Camera and Photos

Cajonero includes an optional "Your cajón" feature that lets you set the look of the on-screen drum face from a photo. If you choose this:

Notifications

If you turn on the daily practice reminder in Settings, the app asks for notification permission at that moment and schedules a local reminder on your device. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on-device — no notification content or token is sent to any server.

No tracking, no third parties

Cajonero contains no advertising network, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests at all — the metronome, sounds, pattern library and history pages are all bundled with the app. Nothing you do inside Cajonero is used to track you across other apps or websites.

Children's privacy

Cajonero does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all. The app contains no chat, social features or user-generated content shared with others.

Your choices

You can clear your practice history and reset all settings at any time from Settings → Reset. Uninstalling the app removes every piece of locally stored data along with it.
