The dial is capped at the tempo you've earned for that pattern. Play four clean cycles in a row — every bajo and agudo hit landing in its zone, with no extra or wrong-zone strokes — and the cap raises by 4 BPM.
Check the Silent switch / Ring volume on the side of your device — Cajonero's cajón sounds respect it like any other sound effect. You can also check Settings → Sound to make sure strokes aren't muted there.
Open the ••• menu on the Cajón tab and choose "Your cajón" to take a photo or pick one from your library. You can clear it at any time to go back to the default finish.
